The son of one of the Weekly's all-time ugliest police mugshot winners (Ladies Division) has, just like dear ol' mom, been convicted of murder and robbery.
A jury today found Noel Carrasco, 26, of Buena Park, guilty of killing a man his mother somehow, miraculously lured from a nightclub to a motel room with the
promise of sex.

Three days before Christmas 2008, Leticia Carrasco, who is now 52, picked Matias Ojeda Vazquez up at a Stanton bar and convinced him to come with her to the Covered Wagon
Motel in Buena Park for a little of the old in-out. But waiting for him inside was the son, who demanded money. When Vazquez refused to hand any over, Noel Carrasco repeatedly stabbed,
struck the head and choked out the victim.
The mother and son cleaned the motel room and
wrapped Vazquez's body in bedding, with a plastic bag over his
head and a dog food bag over his feet. They fled to Las Vegas to dump the corpse but Noel, obviously night the brightest bulb in the toolbox, sent a text message to his girlfriend–with Vazquez's phone.
He was arrested on
Jan. 12, 2009, in Vegas, where Metro Police snapped the opener page mugshot of him. His
mother, who was with Vazquez's Honda Accord, was arrested in Vegas two days later, producing this lovely mug . . .

On a positive note, she did lead authorities to the Vazquez remains in the middle of the desert off I-15 near Yermo.
Leticia Carrasco was the first to be convicted, on one felony count of murder and one felony
count of second degree robbery on Jan. 31. Here is what she looks like these days:
Noel Carrasco was was found guilty today of one felony count of special circumstances murder in the commission of a robbery and one felony count of second degree robbery.
Both are scheduled to be sentenced on April 12, with mom facing up to 25 years to life in state prison and her soon looking at life without the possibility of parole.
