The Orange County Women’s March took place in Downtown Santa Ana on January 20 on the one year anniversary of President Donald Trump’s inauguration and the inaugural Women’s March which mobilized pro-equality and human rights advocates around the globe. The second annual Women’s March brought near 25,000 peaceful marchers to the streets of Downtown Santa Ana, surpassing the estimated 20,000 person crowd from the previous year, according to Kathleen Treseder, an OC Women’s March volunteer organizer and UC Irvine professor.
