Bringing it back to where it all started, Northgate Gonzalez Markets brought their Mexican Mercado concept to Anaheim. Imagine Whole Foods without having to spend your whole paycheck, and puro pinche pari.
Store manager Maria Navarro said this was the grocer's second launch of the concept, introducing the new Mexican Mercado concept (the first being their Norwalk location). The Mexican Mercado offers everything from hot food bars to grab-and-go lunches, a cafe, salsa bar, aguas frescas and a sopa (soup) station—everything made in-house.
