Does anyone remember the last time there was a Taste of Orange County? Some of you reading were probably not even born and those of us writing on this blog (this scribe in particular) were more interested in cartoons and video games.
An announcement was released yesterday that Taste of Orange County will make its return this year June 16-17 after a 22-year hiatus.
The details are still so sketchy at this point that their YouTube video has the event happening at the OC Great Park while their press release says it'll be at Irvine's Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.

Expected are “more than 50 of OC's top restaurants and 75 premium wineries” which will provide tastings. Also planned is a “'Farm to Table' green event where attendees can sample fresh organic produce grown in OC, an OC Brewfest featuring more than 25 top micro-breweries in Orange County and a Father's Day Feast(TM) — a family event filled with kid activities, entertainment, chef demos and more.”
Before becoming an award-winning restaurant critic for OC Weekly in 2007, Edwin Goei went by the alias “elmomonster” on his blog Monster Munching, in which he once wrote a whole review in haiku.
