A man picked up more than his food order at the Cleveland Taco
Bell and ended up getting robbed after he thought he was getting
lucky.
According to Cleveland Police Department reports, Officer S.
Lopez responded at 6:38 a.m. to a theft call at the Super 8 Hotel
located at 427 W. Southline St. The victim reported that he had met
a woman the previous night at the Taco Bell restaurant in
Cleveland.
He was apparently looking for something that wasn't on the menu
such as her phone number. The man and woman exchanged numbers and
later that night began talking on their cell phones.
The woman asked the man if he could pick her up, so he left his
motel at 1:30 a.m. and picked her up as she walked down US 59 south
of Cleveland. The man told police that they returned to the hotel
and later had sex.
When the man woke up the next morning, he discovered that the
woman was gone along with his driver's license and cell phone.
