According to police, Christopher Goodwin entered the apartment along Shelbyville Road through a broken sliding glass door. When officers tried to talk to him, they said he ran to a near-by Taco Bell and tried to steal a car in the drive-thru.
A police report said Goodwin refused to let a woman and her baby out of the car.
Goodwin is charged with burglary and criminal mischief.
