If it seems like it's hardly been a year since Roosters Fun Bar opened, you'd be right. We wrote about its debut in February. The restaurant and bar, we noted, is one of the few places in Irvine that's open late–until 2 a.m. on most nights. But then, a few months ago, it started clipping its hours down to just Thursday through Sunday. Now it's closing for good.

The last day for the bar, a place noteable for its cheap drinks and beer pong tables, will be Friday. It is perhaps a preemptive move by its owners since the space it's in, the RV park called Traveland, will itself close up shop in December and move to Westminster.
