There are numerous reports that DivBar, the barbecue joint that opened last summer at the old Josh Slocum's location at 2601 W. Coast Hwy, has closed itself. If you don't remember or rather not remember what Josh Slocum's was, it's the place Dennis Rodman used to own next to Joe's Crab Shack in Newport Beach before it shuttered in 2005.

Now the site counts DivBar as another ex-tenant. Phone calls to the restaurant have been unanswered, the website no longer exists, the original chef left long ago, and then there's this comment someone left on our recent monthly restaurant roll call blog post.
What about Div Bar closing last week? Didn't even notify their staff to get other jobs at these new restaurants for holidays!
