A Barcade Is Coming to Downtown Santa Ana (Eventually)

Quick, exciting news for you all today (at least, I think it's exciting). A barcade is coming to Downtown Santa Ana. Cool right? Well, slightly worse news now: It's not coming until Spring 2016, and that's a rough estimate.

]

The arcade/bar amalgamation will be brought to us by none other than Leonard Chan, the man behind The Iron Press, Shuck, California Shabu Shabu, and a few more yet to be finished/announced concepts. Partnering with him will be Phil Kwan of Mama Musubi, the roving rice ball purveyor based out of LA but present at most Asian American-chic night markets, most lately in OC at the OC Block Party. The barcade will be on the 500 block of Main in a historic building; hence the wait time.

I'm pretty excited about not having to drive all the way up to LA to drink and play arcade games at the same time. During my year-long stint in Seattle, the local barcade was already established, so it's about time one popped up down here.

I'll update when any are available, so keep paying attention for more news.
