#96. Frozen Custard at Marc Burger's in Macy's Signature Kitchen
This isn't ice cream. It's not frogurt. It's not soft-serve either. It is frozen custard, the one and the only, piped tall to a curvy peak. The flavor however, reminds me of the smoothest French-style vanilla–the kind into which the yolk of a hen's egg must be beaten.

Its color is a dull, creamy yellow, like the crème in crème brûlée. It's also just as rich and eggy, with a creaminess that blooms in the mouth with a fullness of flavor. There's only one flavor for the offering: vanilla. But that's all you need. Any other flavor would muck up the party.
Yes, you can only get it here, in a mall. And not just in a mall, but in a food court inside a home store, a hard-to-find corner that isn't exactly a destination unless you need a new set of cutlery or dish towels.
Macy's Signature Kitchen, Macy's Home Store, 3333 Bear St., Costa Mesa, CA 92626, (714) 708-3333
The List so far:
#100. Jerk Carnitas Torta at The Crosby
