What can I say about Kareem's falafels that I haven't already said on Good Food, in various Weekly Best Of issues, in blog posts, and even as a tip to KNBC-TV Channel 4?

Honestly, the falafels crafted by husband-and-wife team Mike and Nancy Hawari make the most pedestrian of snacks into orbs of desire: simultaneously crunchy and pillowy, with a rust-colored outside giving way to an emerald-green interior. When I introduce people to Arabic cuisine, I always start with the falafels at Kareem's–and this is the place they return to again with their friends, and their friends, and so forth. Been doing this for nearly a decade now, and looking forward to a decade more, all for the pleasure of snacking on these treasures.
