The Lake Forest checkpoints runs from 6 tonight through 2 a.m. Saturday, while the Costa Mesa hours are 8 tonight through 3 a.m. Saturday.

Friday night kicks off a three-day weekend for those–unlike Weeklings :(–who get Veterans Day off Monday. And both operations get those law enforcement agencies in the swing for previously announced anti-DUI details for St. Patrick's Day in March.

These deals are paid for by grants from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
