Robbery in Santa Ana: a Love Story

Where has the love gone?

To the mean streets of Santa Ana, obviously.

That's right, the county seat dealing with rampant gang violence, corrupt politicians and being constantly confused with Carlos Santana has been kissed by the love bug.

Kimberly Edds provides the heartwarming details in the Orange County Register.

According to her report, a 16-year-old girl was walking near an apartment in the 600 block of West Third Street when a man on a bike grabbed
her, snatched her purse, handed her back her wallet and demanded she give him the money inside.

She did as ordered.

All she had was a buck.

Obviously touched like he'd just been given The Gift of the Magi, the robber again grabbed the girl and kissed her.

Right there on the street?

Nope, right on the mouth!

Don Juan–who police did not describe to perhaps preserve the mystery of the future Lifetime movie–then got on his bicycle and pedaled away.

Alas, parting is such sweet sorrow.
