Raymond Boykin: Not as Ugly as Mario Orlando Montano But His Alleged Crimes are Uglier
Man, is there something in the water in Anaheim?
Police there, as well as their colleagues in Santa Ana, are investigating another sexual assault suspect, and while Raymond Boykin is not as ugly as the afore-blogged Mario Orlando Montano, the 18-year-old's known crimes are uglier.
And, as with Boykin's fellow Anaheim resident Montano, authorities fear there may be other victims out there.
A 19-year-old woman was in a parking structure at Westfield MainPlace Mall in Santa Ana around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday when a man forced his way into her car, assaulted her with a weapon and then sexually before grabbing her purse and running away.

As Santa Ana cops were investigating that case, Anaheim Police got a call about a man who forced his way into a 42-year-old woman's car around 6:15 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of Sa Rang Community Church in Anaheim. He assaulted her with a weapon, then sexually, and then stole her car.
Around 10:30 that same morning, a patrol officer in Anaheim spotted the stolen car, which led to a police chase that ended with the vehicle crashing into another and the driver darting out on foot.
Boykin, who is accused of being the driver who hid in a nearby apartment, was found by police canines and arrested. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail on forcible oral copulation, second degree robbery, unlawful taking of a vehicle, evading while driving recklessly, two counts of assault with the intent to commit a sexual offense--all felonies--as well as sentencing enhancements and allegations for the personal use of a deadly weapon.
His arraignment in Santa Ana Tuesday was rescheduled for Jan. 10, when he is to return to court to enter a plea. If he is convicted at the end of all this he could go away to prison for as long as 27 years to life. More prison time could be tacked on if other assaults are reported and he's found guilty of more crimes. Here's a slightly larger look at him:
Anyone who believes they have been a victim of Boykin is encouraged to contact Supervising District Attorney Investigator Paul Carvo at 714.347.8794. Anonymous tips may be left with Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855.847.6227.
