It must be disconcerting to roll through a shopping mall parking structure, notice something screwy going on in a parked truck, knock on the window and discover a 54-year-old man with his pants around his ankles and a 14-year-old boy he met on Craigslist inside. That happened to a Huntington Beach cop Saturday at Bella Terra Mall alongside the 405, according to police and prosecutors who are now looking for other young victims of an alleged predator.

Mark Aime Brosseau of Stanton has been charged with one
felony count each of lewd acts upon a child, contacting a child with the
intent to commit lewd acts, and meeting a child with the intent to
engage in lewd conduct. He could get up to five years and
four months in state prison if convicted. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Friday morning in Westminster.
The Huntington Beach Police Department drew headlines earlier this year for arrests that came after an undercover detective posed as a child in Craigslist.org ads. But the busts obviously weren't enough to completely stop the sickos out there. “This
arrest indicates the importance of parents monitoring their children's
use of the Internet,” reads a statement from the Orange County District
Attorney's office.
