Man Shot Dead Inside Santa Ana Granny Flat
Tale of the tape.
UPDATE NO. 2, JUNE 28, 4:45 P.M.: Explaining that the teenager arrested in the fatal shooting of Jesus Leon is being charged as an adult, the Orange County District Attorney's office identified the defendant as Angel Alexis Hernandez. The Santa Ana 17-year-old is charged with one felony count of murder with a sentencing enhancement allegation for the intentional discharge of a firearm that, with a conviction, could send him to state prison for 50 years to life. Senior Deputy District Attorney Keith Burke of the Homicide Unit will ask that bail be set at $1 million at arraignment scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday in Santa Ana. The OCDA alleges Hernandez shot 19-year-old Leon in the head. The suspect was popped at a relative's home in Santa Ana, prosecutors add.
