Santa Ana's will be in the area of 2500 West 5th Street, according to police there, while the exact location of Garden Grove's was not released.
"Over the course of the past three years, DUI collisions have claimed seven lives and resulted in 200 injury crashes harming 87 of our friends and neighbors," Garden Grove Police Sgt. J. Fischer says in one of those fill-in-the-blanks statements.
Checkpoint funding for both agencies comes from California Office of Traffic Safety grants, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
