Darreck Michael Enciso, 27, of Adelanto, is charged with one felony count of attempted lewd act upon a child, one felony count of contacting a child with the intent to commit a specified sex crime, and one felony count of meeting a minor with the intent to engage in lewd conduct. If convicted, he faces up to four years and eight months in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration. His arraignment is set for July 31.

Enciso was a Disneyland Resort hotel dishwasher, according to officials at the theme park. But the DisneyHub blog, citing employment records, reports Enciso was a full-time chef steward who worked under Sous Chef Moises Carranza to help prepare food inside one or all of the restaurants inside the Grand California Hotel (Napa Rose, Storytellers Cafe, Whitewater Snacks and Hearthstone Lounge).

On July 1, Enciso allegedly posted an ad on Craigslist seeking women willing to engage in sex acts in exchange for tickets to the theme parks, according to an Orange County District Attorney's office (OCDA) statement.

He allegedly communicated with a Huntington Beach Police undercover officer, whom he thought was a 14-year-old girl, interested in the tickets, the OCDA claims. Enciso is accused of setting up a place and time to meet with a person he thought was a minor girl to give her the tickets in exchange for sex acts.

On July 9, Enciso showed up at the agreed upon meeting place on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach with condoms and Disneyland tickets, according to the OCDA, which adds Huntington Beach cops then arrested him. He is alleged to have posted several similar ads via Craigslist and investigators wonder if there are other victims.

Anyone with additional information or who believes they have been a victim is encouraged to contact Supervising District Attorney Investigator Mark Gutierrez at 714.347.8794 or Surf City Detective Angela Bennett at 714.536.5960.

Disneyland released a statement indicating Enciso has been relieved of his duties at the unspecified hotel.
