17-Year-Old Boy Accused of Sticking Up Seal Beach Gas Station with Airsoft Pistol

A 17-year-old boy earned a trip to juvenile hall late Friday after allegedly trying to rob a Seal Beach gas station with an airsoft pistol, according to police.

]

This happened just before midnight at the Unocal at 12071 Seal Beach Blvd., where the unidentified teen confronted a cashier with the pistol, according to the Seal Beach Police Department.

But instead of handing over the cash, the cashier manhandled the gunman, wrestling away the airsoft pistol, which caused the would-be robber to scram, running off to a nearby Los Alamitos neighborhood.

A search by Seal Beach and Los Alamitos cops turned up a boy they identified as the suspect, who was booked into Orange County Juvenile Hall in Orange on suspicion of
attempted armed robbery.
