Weezer To Headline The US Open of Surfing

Ahem, 2010 U.S. Open of Surfing. I think it's awesome that you're adding to the appeal of hot, bronzed guys surfing at the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier for five days by getting Weezer to headline your event.
And the addition of the Cold War Kids, Hot Hot Heat, Bedouin Soundclash, Iration, Switchfoot, and Cobra Starship (among other bands) doesn't hurt, either. So I guess everyone knows where they're going to be from Saturday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 8.
Apparently it's the first show Cold War Kids are playing in OC in a long time. Nathan Willett said, "It'll be fun to play in front of a home crowd again."
If you think it's weird that Weezer is headlining a sporty event, you can hie back to the Blue album's "Surf Wax America." Plus, how much money did the US Open cough up to get Weezer to play at the beach?
Here's the music schedule:
Tuesday, August 3, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Cold War Kids preceded by The Soft Pack
Wednesday August 4, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Bedouin Soundclash preceded by Iration
