The Los Angeles Press Club has recognized the Weekly with three award nominations for their fifth National Entertainment Journalism Awards. The awards ceremony will also honor Jane Fonda with their first Visionary Award (as introduced by Robert Redford) on Nov. 18th at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.

And the nominees are...

Vickie Chang is nominated for "Best Print, News" for her cover story, "His Goldenvoice."

Lilledeshan Bose is nominated for "Best Entertainment Blog by an Individual" for her review "Ryan Adams at the Balboa Theater in San Diego Last Night."

Taylor Hamby is nominated for "Best Commentary Analysis/Trend" for her blog, "Top Protest Songs Hijacked by Patriots."

Our sister paper LA Weekly has received six nominations, all of which belong to Gendy Alimurung. See a complete list of nominees on the LA Press Club's website.

The Weekly took home seven awards earlier this year at the LA Press Club's 54th Annual Southern California Journalism Awards.
