Free Ticket Fridays: The Joy Formidable at the Observatory, Mar. 18

Few bands mix animalistic energy, experimentalism and pop sensibility like the Joy Formidable. The subject a feature in this week's paper, the band stop through OC once again to prove that fact on the heels of their latest release, Wolf's Law. The intense English trio, fronted by doll-eyed dervish Ritzy Bryan, are stopping through the Observatory next Monday and after hearing about Bryan's process of becoming a blackout ball of abandon on stage, there's no way we can stay away.

“I come off stage, and I almost don't remember the gig,” Bryan says, laughing. “It's kind of a weird thing, but it's kind of what you want every night, to zone out and lose yourself.” The Zone sure sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Monday night, right? Well if you're interested in checking out the show for free, once again we're willing to help you with that.
