Before you spend all day at a Memorial Day party in someone's backyard, consider checking out Proof Bar's all day event that will point you straight to the garage…bands. Besides the marvelous use of blood on this flier, we also notice that it's packed with names of loud, fast and perverse acts that never fail to draw attention to themselves at this artsy, Santa Ana watering hole.

Presented by their Sunday live music night, the Wreck Hall, Proof is pre-empting your pre-summer holiday with an all-day, all-night gathering of 16 screeching local bands from different corners of OC, Long Beach and LA. Among them are La Habra's own Cum Stain (does saying that name ever get old?), Anaheim surf band the Tequila Worms and Santa Ana's Street Spirit. Although she's got a very prominent place on the flier, we doubt Amy Winehouse will be there. The party goes all day from 11 a.m.to 2 a.m. No cover.
