Dirtybird Campout 2016 Announces Phase 1 Lineup
Reggie Watts: helping kids earn their beat boxing merit badge at Dirtybirt Campout 2016
The DoLab and Dirtybird are at it again with the return of the Dirtybird Campout, the fest where hippies, house heads and headliners come together to enjoy a weekend of outdoorsy debauchery at Oak Canyon Ranch in Silverado Oct. 7-9. If you'll remember from last year's inaugural run, it's probably the only fest where performers are an ever present part of the fun by becoming camp counselors for the weekend and engaging in all the crazy fun with fans who show up to dance their asses off for three days straight. Phase 1 of the lineup was announced yesterday, which includes beat boxing comedic genius Reggie Watts, Machinedrum, Paranoid London (Live), Shiba San, Pezzner, J.Phlip, Marc Houle (Live), Barclay Crenshaw, German Brigante, Catz n Dogz and more.
Of course it wouldn’t be Camp without the games and activities. Last year's Campout inspired us to throw on some summer clothes (fall weather be damned!) combine our love for archery and potato sack races with an array of pulsating electronic music on multiple stages. Meanwhile, the sleep-away camp theme helped bride the gap between festival goers and performers putting them on platform to interact with one another. Feel the rope in your hand as you go up against Christian Martin in Tug-Of-War, chow down on BBQ alongside Grillson and make sure to duck when you’re playing dodgeball against J.Phlip! Even more, the Camp Counselors will return to cheer on their Campers in the boat races, kickball and the now-notorious Talent Show. Tickets are on sale now. Phase 2 of the lineup is coming soon.
