'You Should Not Be Here' Opening Reception

OCCCA's latest exhibition features a league of artists exploring the theme of exclusion through photography, video and animation installations. “You Should Not Be Here,” a curious title, aptly describes the gloomy and provocative tones of the show, which examines ways people feel like outsiders based on their gender, borders, social status, politics, beliefs, and other factors. Featuring more than 27 artists hailing from Mexico, Canada, Spain, Bolivia and the United States, and curated by SolArt Media & Design founder and creative director Sali Heraldez as well as Sixpack Projects curator Lilia Lamas, “You Should Not Be Here” opens tonight and will remain at the gallery for a month, before making its way to Florence, Italy, in January.

Sat., Nov. 1, 6 p.m., 2014
