The Bangles

If you were a teenager in the mid 80s, you remember people walking like egyptians without a sense of irony. It was all thanks to the Bangles, a girl group who played their instruments with more skill than the Go Gos. Though the band wasn't remembered post 80s for much of their other work, other than perhaps “Manic Monday,” they weren't some talentless one hit wonder cooked up by the record industry. They wrote many of their own songs and shared vocal duties equally. Susanna Hoffs was most visible in recent years who collaborated recently with Matthew Sweet on a couple albums of pop covers, which beautifully highlight her talents as a vocalist.
