The pig—that wondrous animal who has inspired so much culinary advancement, not to mention sparked a cultural obsession that shows no signs of fading. This one-part benefit, one-part pork extravaganza has some of the county's finest chefs (like Deborah Schneider of Sol Cocina and Aron Habuger from the Crosby) come together to present their most creative interpretations of swiney delicacy—while mixologists from our favorite watering holes (hello, 320 Main!) serve craft and artisan cocktails. Proceeds go toward Inspire Artistic Minds and C-CAP, two organizations aimed at helping young people achieve their culinary aspirations. Pork belly, bacon, booze—it's all here at the inaugural PigOut 1.0, and it's all for a good cause.
