Personified by towering coifs and coffin-shaped basses, the Nekromantix legacy is a jet-black treasure that will follow most psychobilly fans to the grave. Albums like Curse of the Coffin and Return of the Loving Dead have withstood the test of time (and countless line-up changes)—and that ought to be enough to appease founder Kim Nekroman (who plays in both Nekromantix and the Horrorpops), but that kind of satisfaction is never enough. Rolling to the end of a summer-long US tour, Nekroman and his newest partners, guitarist Franc and drummer Lux, are hopping in the hearse and heading to the Galaxy to inject more than two decades worth of B-movie horror anthems and hellified passion to swirling circle pits of their creeper-wearing disciples.
