H-Train

The heroin-chic fad of the ‘90s never looked so glorious as in the film adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s novel Trainspotting. Here, a young Ewan McGregor plays the lead junkie, an endearing character named Renton, desperately trying to rise out of Edinburgh’s seedy, underground drug scene. Visually dazzling and comically brilliant, this movie not only hit cult status, it received an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay and won a slew of other awards. But parents needn’t worry; McGregor’s brutal detox scene will hopefully help steer impressionable young minds away from ever dabbling in the hard stuff.
