Gungor is Michael Gungor and family, spiritual and otherwise, unfurling the kind of overpowering anthemic pop (with which the Arcade Fire won over the secular world) and they came just shy of winning the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album Grammy for last year’s Ghosts Upon the Earth. Never mind that near miss, however, because the faithful still get something special at this show, where Gungor himself—a pastor who founded his own church group in Denver, where he and Gungor itself are mostly based—will sit for a Q&A with the audience, which will surely last right up to the very moment when the lights go low and the music swells.
