Skater kids, your day has come. No longer are you confined to skate parks and empty cul de sacs to practice (or show off) your sweet tricks. Summer and Music, who bring you a series of music showcases every year in various parts of the downtown Long Beach expanse, are back with the 720 Degrees Pine festival. For the evening, Pine avenue will be converted to a long-running skate park between 6th and 7th street, with a fine line up of contemporary rock bands from Long Beach that we already know and love— Bella Novela, FMLY BND, The Moderates, and headliner Tijuana Panthers, as well as KCRW DJ Dan Wilcox. Additionally, while you're poppin' ollies and rocking along to this free show, the streets will pay host to the A.skate Foundation, a nonprofit charity helping children with autism learn to skate.
