Richard M. Nixon will be dug up from his Yorba Linda grave this summer to entertain schoolchildren. First lady Pat, too!
]
At least, that's what I assume is going on based on the “Meet the Presidents Live” announcement from the Nixon Foundation, the private boosters of the public, National Archives-run facility at 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd.
The foundation holds Dick-friendly events in the sprawling complex's replica of the White House East Room, which today at 10:30 a.m. features an appearance by President George Washington, who doesn't look very gamey based on this photo at least:
A short talk by the father of our country will be followed by a Q&A, photo opportunities, coloring time, punch and cookies.
Other presidents and their Tuesday morning appearance dates as: Thomas Jefferson (July 8); Abraham Lincoln (July 15); Teddy Roosevelt (July 22); and Tricky Dicky (July 29). Pat Nixon has an Aug. 5 engagement.
