While Bravo’s Real Housewives of Orange County may elicit much, um, unintended humor, the Funniest Housewives of Orange County comedy troupe unabashedly puts the laughs front and center. Hitting the Irvine Improv this week, this girl group covers all the bases: they’ve got the hippie housewife; the lazy housewife; the over-sexed housewife; the post-menopausal housewife, and one that may be missing from the hit reality show, the trailer trash housewife (who proudly “just closed escrow at the DMV”). These comediennes know that living in Orange County may be somewhat of a privilege, but never, ever one to be taken too seriously.
