Didn’t get all the chuckles out the first time you saw Peter Boyle as Frankenstein’s monster doing “Puttin’ on the Ritz”? The Orange County Performing Arts Center is giving you another shot—albeit with a new cast. Starting this weekend, the Center will host the Mel Brook’s musical reanimation of his 1974 comic masterpiece Young Frankenstein. Directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Susan Stroman, the show will feature the songs made famous by characters Frederick Frankenstein, Inga and Frau Blücher (cue horses), including “He Vas my Boyfriend,” the aforementioned Irving Berlin standard as well as some new tunes.

Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Sept. 12. Continues through Sept. 25, 2010
