Our favorite Doomhammer duo is back in time for BlizzCon. Songhammer, the most gallant, award winningest World of Warcraft inspired rock band returns this week to OC for BlizzCon at the Anaheim Convention Center. But unlike stories we've written on the band in the past, this isn't a plea to vote for their new video or their live performance in a battle of the bands contest.
Now that they've reached the point where they've literally run out of contests to win, Blizzard finally gave in and just decided to hire them to rock your faces off. That's exactly what they're planning to do tomorrow as the convention's opening act on Friday night at 8 p.m. in honor of Blizzard's 25th anniversary, along with DJ Kristian Narin, aka Hodor from Game of Thrones.
As per usual, the band recently released another insane music video worthy of your attention. Based on the title of the latest WoW release, the song “Legion” is full of green flames, fantastic fight scenes, special effects, and a guitar-shredding shredding furry.
Check out the video below and then go out and experience the band's new and improved set, which still features plenty of heavy, horde-inspired anthems courtesy of founding members CroonHammer (Dustin Miller), ShredHammer (Ben Stewart) and their band of fellow hordesmen. The event is open to the public, whether you’re attending the convention or just happen to be in the neighborhood, and admission is free.
