OC Grub Guide: Movies, Moles And Booch Bars

We’re back with another round of things to-do and plan ahead for. If you like your liquid refreshment, this one’s for you. Cheers and Happy National Burrito Day!

Grab A Pair, Win A Pair at Del Frisco’s Grille Irvine

Now through April 15, stop by Del Frisco’s for lunch. Diners who select items off their Grab A Pair lunch menu (read: not dinner) will be in a drawing to win two tickets to an Irvine Improv show. Show restrictions and black-out dates apply. After that tax day deadline, you’re gonna need some laughter!

Moles & Mezcal at SOL Cocina

During their second annual Mole Festival, guests will be able to experience some of Chef Deb Schneider’s recipes from her Salsas and Moles cookbook at SOL. For you Mezcal disciples, specialty cocktails featuring the distilled beverage will also be on the menu. Specials are available through April 13 beginning at 5 p.m. nightly. We’re eyeing the shrimp in green mole with pepitas and cilantro or their Sabe Fuerte— pineapple mint with chile con lime with Kemo Sabe blanco.

Duckhorn Winemaker Dinner at Antonello Ristorante
Tonight at 6:30 p.m., get your wine on at South Coast Plaza. Winemaker Renee Ary will be on hand to discuss this special Duckhorn pairing. Five planned courses for $100 (plus tax/gratuity) await. Your dinner includes roasted lamb rack, vegetarian souffle, spirals adorned with Speck and profiteroles. We just wanted to use profiteroles in a sentence.

Zama Tea and Kombucha Inc. grand opening weekend
Beginning today through Sunday, this new bar (Let’s be clear; there’s NO alcohol here.) at 434 El Camino Real in Tustin will get things rolling with a 5:30 p.m. ribbon cutting. Live music is scheduled Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12-2 p.m. Sip on “Booch Bar” samples and apps while you learn about the healthy kick Zama beverages provide.
