For this week's Orange Feathers, Weekly artist Leslie Agan took on the show that is Loretta Sanchez pivoting to the right to beat Kamala Harris in the U.S. Senate race. Take it away, Leslie!
It's the battle against Kamala Harris for U.S. Senate! A desperate Loretta Sanchez has been performing a song-and dance-routine with Republican backers, including notable Trump support (yuck!) Darell Issa. I couldn't help but imagine Darrell and Loretta as Fred Astaire and Judy Garland dressed in rags performing, “We're a Couple of Swells” from the classic film, Easter Parade. With all of the flashy lights, the song and dance (yes, even dabbing!) she hasn't entertained either party and the audience is just plain not interested.
