Time to check out the crafty classes that are available around OC and beyond for April!
A couple don't miss events at The Annex of The Road Less Traveled in Santa Ana this month! I'm really excited about their Fermentation 2 class, led by master food preserver and chef Ernest Miller. Sign up for the April 18th class and you'll learn all about making your own tasty vinegars, kombucha and yogurt! (Yes, yogurt!) Also, their monthly Craft Cinema selection for the third Thursday is Amelie, one of my personal faves. Click here for The Annex at The Road Less Traveled's full event calendar. (Disclaimer alert, Delilah from TRLT is the significant other of OC Weekly's own Gustavo Arellano.)
After the jump, the low-down on more crafty classes you can take this month.
The Craft Kitchen is offering a great recycled paper journal class this month – in it, you'll learn basic bookbinding and stamping techniques to create some great handmade books to record your memories! Other offerings this month include Candles 101 and the OC Craft Club, where crafters from all over are invited to hang out and work on their projects together. Home Ec in Silverlake never ceases to offer something new and unique each month, and this month is no different! Most exciting this month is the two night patternmaking class happening on April 7 and 8, taught by patternmaking expert Susanna Schick. Bring a favorite skirt or pair of pants to the class, and Susanna will teach you how to make a copy of it without damaging the original! Click here for Home Ec's full April craft class calendar.
