Farmer's Market

The concept seems plainly incongruous. How can a massive shopping center bursting with big box retailers, clearly the personification of vacuous suburban existence, host a farmers market — a quintessential element of erudite, cultured, Stuff White People Like society? Mind-bending or not, that’s the reality of the new Certified Farmer's Market at the District at Tustin Legacy. And it’s actually pretty good — though not as impressive in quantity as other offerings, you’ll find a solid dozen vendors pimping produce and might even score a free kettle corn sample. There’s also live music from local bands, to help make you forget you’re in a mall parking lot. If fresh fruits, veggies and tunes sound like your scene, it runs every Sunday morning until Oct. 24.

Sundays, 8 a.m. Starts: Aug. 8. Continues through Oct. 24, 2010
