A Reading with Alice Bag & Friends

Aug 17th • 2:00 pm • Anaheim Central Library

Legendary punk singer, writer and activist Alice Bag headlines this short but poignant event preceding OC Zine Fest this month. Bag will likely read an excerpt from one of her tomes Violence Girl- From East LA Rage to Hollywood Stage or Pipe Bomb For the Soul to ignite the fires of anger and resistance within audience members. Joining Bag will be multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker and musician Jessica G.Z., who writes some of her own incredible zines released through her Arts and Crass distro (that’s zine speak for distributor). Poet francisco aviles pino jr. is an undocumented queer writer from Mexico who will share their own written stories as well. Meet with each writer and find their works available for purchase afterwards!
