Dead Man in Anaheim is Most-Serious Victim in OC Stabbingpalooza

A man was found stabbed to death behind a Spires restaurant in Anaheim early Thursday morning, making him the most seriously injured victim in a rash of stabbings since Wednesday night.

Anaheim cops got the call around 2 a.m. Thursday of an assault in progress at 990 S. Euclid St., where first responders found a bleeding man lying on the ground. Medics pronounced the unidentified fellow dead after CPR failed them.

His attacked was last seen running north on Euclid, according to Anaheim Police.

A man was stabbed multiple times in the chest and back just before 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of South Shelton Street in Santa Ana, where he had gone to fight his attacker, according to Santa Ana Police. The victim, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Around 9:30 that same night, another man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a stabbing near Anaheim Boulevard and West North Street in Anaheim. Police there recovered a weapon and took two people into custody near La Palma Park.

Just before 6:30 a.m. Thursday—or 4 1/2 hours after the fatal stabbing—Anaheim Police returned to La Palma Park due to a report of a stabbing in progress. The victim's condition has not been released, and investigators do not believe the incident is related to the previous stabbing.
