It’s hard to believe that it’s been more than 20 years since In Living Color reinvented sketch comedy. Though there may be bigger stars to emerge from that ensemble cast, David Alan Grier carved out a solid career as a TV- and film-actor, radio host and stand-up comedy headliner. Known for his frequent appearances on The Adam Carolla Show, Grier enlightens audiences with his spot-on imitations—notably Teddy Pendergrass on the podcast—and has proved time and again his unique talent as a versatile performer. But despite appearances on Broadway and forays onto silly competition shows like Dancing with the Stars, Grier is still a well-respected comedian (meaning he has serious street cred in the comedy world). His stand-up act remains a top draw, and even at age 58, DAG still has game.
