When We Were Young Festival Throws it Back to Punk Rock Sunday

The second day of When We Were Young throws it back to the beginning of Orange County's punk scene with the Descendents and D.I. The weather brought out all the fishnet stockings, beeswax mohawks, and heavy black eyeliner along with the ever neutral torn black jeans and band t-shirts. Tossed-in with some Turnstile, the kids kept on catching a wave on the crowd surf throughout the day.

Taking Back Sunday, Saves the Day, The Frights and Agent Orange filled the teenage angst still fresh. Indie rockers Silversun Pickups and Dr. Dog started the perfect afternoon before the circle pits commenced. WWWY in its debut showed that top musical artists can perform in small spaces tucked in the back corner of Santa Ana.
