When We Were Young Festival Attracts All Ages to The Observatory Grounds

Morrissey makes the schedule performance at When We Were Young Festival at The Observatory Grounds in Santa Ana on Saturday. A first for any large scale music festival, the meatless festival for Saturday was a dedication for Moz as the former Smiths frontman crooned the crowd during the crisp, clear, coon night. Many hardcore fans camped out all night to be front row. Davey Havok makes his second appearance at the venue in a week, with AFI knocking off the hits for the crowd. As per usual, Matt and Brad Schultz show the fans their appreciation by crowd surfing the crowd. The stellar Saturday line-up also included a reunited Alkaline Trio with Matt Skiba taking a short break from Blink-182. Streetlight Manifesto, punk rockers The Dickies and Guttermouth, and The Regrettes round out the early afternoon program.
