The Segerstrom Center leaps into its 2017-18 dance season with the Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra, performing from October 12th-15th. The company showcases four excerpts of Michel Fokine’s renown work: Chopiniana (Les Sylphides), The Swan, Schéhérazade and the Center premiere of Le Spectre de la Rose. Fokine, regarded as one of the most influential choreographers of the 20th century, was resident
choreographer for Sergei Diaghilev and his Ballet Russes.
