Yesterday was the conclusion of the two-day Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos, and for the occasion, a generous crowd turned up at the Santa Fe Springs swap meet / drive-in theater to celebrate with rituals, music, and drinks. The show began with the music of Casa De Calacas, which was followed by three ceremonial ritual dances performed by the drummer / dancer outfit of Tlecoatl, in honor of the holiday. Finally, the one and only heavy metal / mariachi band, Metalachi, took the stage and got everyone swinging and laughing with their raunchy humor and stylized performances of classic rock and metal tunes.
