Lucha VaVoom @ the Grove

Doesn't leave much to the imagination, huh?

It's an acid trip without the acid: Lucha VaVoom have hit the road again with their really, really weird show that was once traditionally only held at Los Angeles' Mayan Theater. In Lucha VaVoom, burlesque dancers, little people and lucha libres (you know! Mexican wrestlers! In masks!) take to the stage in a bizarre show centered on wrestlers battling for the title cup. As if the lucha libres themselves weren't interesting enough, burlesque dancers provide additional entertainment, along with some comedians, a "high-performance striptease" and "high-octane mini-dragsters"--presumably when no actual wrestling is happening. This month's stop took place at the Grove in Anaheim on 1/30.
