Lobster Lovers Indulged @ The Original Lobster Festival

The Rainbow Lagoon Park was filled with lobster and seafood lovers alike last weekend (Sept. 8-10) at the Original Lobster Festival in Long Beach. People from all over Orange and Los Angeles counties gathered to feast on fresh steamed lobster and though that was the "main event," several people giving their taste buds a little catfish, shrimp, chicken and a wide variety of unique cuisine.

While guests licked drawn butter or Cajun seasonings from their fingers others took advantage of the live music and dance floor. It's always entertaining to witness the different dance styles everyone brings out at a day time event like this.

The festival was equipped with bounce houses, slides, carnival games, interactive things for the kids and a live reptile exhibit. Laying in the middle of the grass was an enormous albino Burmese Python, practically going unnoticed, until I screamed, tripped over my skirt and backpedaled, almost tumbling down the hill, causing a minor scene. I just blamed it on an overdose of delicious lobster and was on my way.
