LA Kings Home Opener @ Staples Center

The Los Angeles Kings opened up the 2012-2013 NHL season on Saturday, January 19 against the Chicago Blackhawks to defend their Stanley Cup Championship season. The season was delayed from starting on schedule due to contractual differences between the Players Union and Team owners regarding revenue sharing. For months fans waited patiently, especially the loyal Kings fans awaiting the day the Championship banner to be hung atop the Staples Center.

After a riveting Championship series, fans were greeted by the visiting Chicago Blackhawks with a loss at home and ruining the honeymoon. All images by Chris Victorio.
