California Calling: Growing Up Punk Rock with Joe Sib

Joe Sib dropped by the Boathouse in Costa Mesa on 11/25 for an installment of California Calling: A Story of Growing Punk Rock. Featuring stories from Joe Sib's adolescence, Sib, founder of Side One Dummy Records, tells how his mother smoked and resembled Vikki Carr in Santa Cruz and his father was the laid-back linguist in San Jose. But the real story was how he eventually found punk rock and started going to shows in the South Bay. Special guests also joined in for an acoustic set, including Randy Bradbury of Pennywise, Jay Bentley of Bad Religion and Steve Soto from the Adolescents.
